Todd J. Smith made his debut in the real estate industry right out of college in the Fall of 1986 as a Mortgage Loan Originator for Citicorp in Phoenix, Arizona. In his first full year of service, Todd was Top Producer of the month on several occasions and achieved President’s Club status. Among other top producers for each state at the 1987 Citicorp President’s Club Awards in Hawaii, Todd was recognized as The National Rookie of the Year.

After 10 years of originating loans for Citicorp and one other banking institution, Todd formed his own independent mortgage broker business and began placing home loans with a variety of large institutional and a few private investors. On the heels of the Dodd/Frank Act in 2010, Todd learned he could help more of his clients by closing his mortgage broker’s license for a Real Estate license. After 3 years of serving past clients, family & friends with home purchases and sales, Todd began teaching CE classes at The Arizona School of Real Estate & Business in Scottsdale. Recently, he completed the requirements to obtain an Associate Broker’s license, became a Certified Negotiation Expert and joined The Real Estate Negotiation Institute as a part-time Core Concepts (CNE-1) instructor in Arizona.

When he is not busy teaching or selling, Todd enjoys golfing, reading (negotiation books of course) and singing country music with family & friends, or is off helping his 3 adult children finish their formal education and begin their career. His motto in business was adopted from one of his favorite authors (and speaker): “You can have everything you want in life if you’ll just help enough other people get what they want” Zig Ziglar
